Define a great leader—what are some traits you think great leaders possess?

A great leader has the ability to show empathy, respect and care of his/her team. He/she makes sure the team understands and is motivated to pursue a common goal. A great leader understands that is the people that they lead the ones that determine the success or the failure of a company.

What is one of the biggest challenges you’ve faced in your career?

One of the biggest challenges a the beginning of my career was to rely on others instead of trying to do everything myself. I learned very quick that relying on others was strictly necessary, and I understood that having a great team around you makes you more productive and effective

Do you have any tips, strategies you’ve employed, or lessons learned throughout your career that you would like to share with aspiring female leaders?

It is very important to balance work and family. It is ok to be the only female in the room, don’t be afraid to express your opinion. Having female role models, mentors and friends around you will inspire each other and build on each other strengths.
