In response to the 2016 Holiday Wish List published by the Indianapolis Business Journal, Heritage President Jeff Laborsky, asked staff to reach out and help three local charities fulfill their wishes.  Heritage donated $2,000 each to:

  • The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana is open 365 days a year providing a place for families to stay together when a child is receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health and other area hospitals.
  • The Trinity Free Clinic is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of the uninsured and underinsured low income residents of Hamilton County, Indiana.
  • The Coburn Place Safe Haven provides transitional housing and support services for individuals (women or men and their children) who are homeless due to Domestic Violence.

These donations are part of Heritage’s ongoing Project 150, a plan implemented by Laborsky to track and increase annual charitable giving via direct company donations, employee volunteer hours, and employee donations in-kind as well.  The company has recognized three national charities that benefit from employee team building and charitable giving programs, a month-by-month calendar of charitable activities lead by employee volunteers (the Green Eyed P’s, employee sustainability team) at each company location, and additional local charities in the communities where we operate.  The above donations are local to our Corporate Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
